  • Who needs Lube?

Lubricants are a useful addition to lovemaking for many people and help to make the sexual experience more pleasurable and comfortable. They help to reduce pain and friction during intercourse and make it easier to insert toys.

Lubricants can also help increase vaginal moisture, which can be especially important for women who suffer from vaginal dryness (caused by hormonal changes during menopause).

They are also used by people who take certain medications that can affect vaginal moisture, or who have certain health conditions that affect natural moisture.

There are different types of lubricants, such as water-based, silicone-based and oil-based, which are suitable for different activities and needs. It is important to choose the right lubricant for the desired activity and to use it safely with condoms and other contraceptive methods.

  • What are the differences between water-based, silicone-based and hybrid lubes?

    • Base: Silicone lubricants are based on silicone oil, water-based lubricants on water and hybrid lubricants on a combination of both.
    • Consistency: Silicone lubricants are usually thinner than water-based lubricants, hybrid lubricants are a combination of both, but thicker in viscosity than water-based lubricants.
    • Compatibility: Silicone lubricants cannot be used with silicone sex toys, water-based lubricants are compatible with all types of sex toys and hybrid lubricants may have limited compatibility depending on their composition.
    • Longevity: Silicone lubricants have a shelf life of 5 years and remain lubricated longer in use, but they are harder to wash off. Water and hybrid lubricants have a shelf life of 4 years, but do not remain slippery in use for as long.
    • Moisture: Water-based lubricants can add moisture, while silicone and hybrid lubricants do not.
    • Irritation: Some people can be allergic to certain ingredients in water and hybrid lubricants, but this usually does not happen with silicone lubricants.
    • Cleaning: Silicone lubricants can be more difficult to clean than water or hybrid lubricants.
    • Dryness: Water-based lubricants can evaporate more quickly than silicone and hybrid lubricants.
    • Aesthetics: Silicone lubricants often have a shiny or shimmering effect, while water and hybrid lubricants do not.
  • Which lubricant to use with sex toys?

There are different types of lubricants that are suitable for use with toys.

Water-based lubricants are usually the best choice for use with toys as they are safe to use with all types of materials and are easily washable. Normal silicone-based lubricants should not be used with toys as they can damage the material.

It is always advisable to read the manufacturer's instructions and use the recommended lubricant to ensure that the toy lasts and stays in good condition.

Our recommendation: water-based lubricants or EROS Toy Silicone Glide.

  • What is the pH of EROS Super Concentrated Bodyglide?

The pH value is a measure of the strength of the acidic or basic effect of an aqueous solution. pH is defined as the negative logarithm of the logarithm of the hydronium ion concentration. However, this product does not contain any aqueous components. The product behaves "neutral", although it also has no pH value.

  • Does the use of lube mean a break in lovemaking?

It only takes a few seconds to squeeze the lube out of the tube or bottle and then apply it to the desired areas. With the many advantages of our lubricants, this moment of interruption increases the erotic tension even more and makes the partner even more aroused.

  • How to remove stains from lubricants?

Experience has shown that the stains can be removed more easily if you carry out the treatment with washing-up liquid before washing. Dab the stains with washing-up liquid (Pril) and work this into the stains. Then wash the garment and the stains should be gone.
